New Isuzu D-Max pick-up will be introduced in June - wish we had some pictures

THE pick-up market is alive and well thanks to a growing recreational user market alongside the Bob The Builder core buyer.

Double cab configuration really put the pick-up into focus as a family option for those with towing, shooting or boating in mind. Not to mention line dancing.

That has brought a boost to Nissan and Mitsubishi especially while Isuzu with its Rodeo remained at the more agricultural end of the scale.

Now a new double cab is on the way with a new name to mark a fundamental move upmarket in performance, quality, efficiency and refinement. It will be called Isuzu D-Max.

The D-Max, says Isuzu, is the result of the most comprehensive new product development programme in the Japanese company's history.

Aggressive and imposing exterior styling and exceptional load-lugging capacity, towing capabilities and off-road performance. Inside space and refinement have been the aims with a high standard spec..

Engines are redeveloped common-rail diesels, claiming to deliver significantly improved emissions and fuel economy together with more flexible and accessible power and torque.

As is the annoying norm with taster campaigns, the only picture available is of the nearside headlight. Watch this space for more revealing images.
