The notion the X Factor and programmes like Britain's Got Sod All Talent are nothing more than a bit of harmless fun has been clearly demonstrated to be badly flawed.
This is something I have repeatedly told my own family, coming home after a hearty winter's Saturday in the field and giving Simon Cowell both barrels or a tickle with the larger log splitting maul.

Now a family finds itself in reduced circumstances thanks to having a daughter deluded enough to think she could be the next Cher. Looking at her she has more chance of being the next shed.

Her moment of utmost embarrassment came when murdering Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, prompting several viewers to enquire if tickets for the Titanic are still available.
The Chawners have been evicted from their home after the prospective X Factor star caterwauled all night long. That's the length of time, not the hit song by Lino Ritchie.
Neighbours logged 130 complaints about her singing in Ramsbottom, Lancashire.
Still, there is no such thing as bad publicity.Toyota are the winners in this one.
The family has moved into a Veso MPV parked in a supermarket car park.
The fact that four of them, all total strangers to salad, are living with a Yorkshire Terrier in the seven-seater speaks volumes for its roominess and versatility. Well done Toyota!
