Supplementary to the captain's blog 23/10/08....heartening news from Swindon in the Honda sector, the ruling council has decided to withdraw funding from the Dredd speed cameras saying more effective safety measures would be better street lighting and other road improvements.
In reply Robocop says cameras have reduced accidents at Blackspots by 70%.
Sadly so many are not actually sited at Blackspots but on lovely straight roads with not a hazard in radar range.
Frankly I don't see it catching on, especially in North Wales. Warped thinking factor 10, Mr Spock.
