Kia sales rocket - dont be a fool over badge prejudice

Posted by Steve Orme on July 13, 2008 12:32 PM |

Just to stay with the theme of how to survive with less money, every cloud has a silver lining as your gran used to say.
She didn’t? Miserable old parrot.

It cold just be that the car buying punter is being forced into looking more closely at badges once scorned.
Like Kia.
Look, they make good cars, cars that cost little, then there is the seven year warranty.
Yes, okay, they feel like a cheap suit but hey, even a cheap suit keeps your bum warm.
Kia underwent a major restructure during the last year including completing the launch of a young range of cars, focussing the network on retail and local business sales and constructing a stronger dealer network. All these changes have merged to provide the basis for strong growth in 2008 and beyond.
Kia's first six months cumulative sales of 18,351 included a total of 5,515 cee'd models - a massive percentage increase over last year. However, Managing Director Paul Philpott said it was the volume and the percentage growth that mattered most with cee'd.
Kia, Hyundai, Seat, Skoda - times are changing so don’t end up being a proud fool behind a badge you paid too much for.
