Geordie accent favorite with British drivers on their sat navs
Over 2,000 motorists surveyed across the country have said they wold most like to be guided by a Geordie sat nav accent.
Northern accents came top of the pile beating the dulcet southern tones.
Peter Kay has put both Chorley FM and the Bolton accent firmly on the map coming in at second place with 21 per cent of the vote, with Parky’s Yorkshire accent voted third most popular at 16 per cent. It was also the accent least likely to be accompanied by the opening of a wallet.
A ‘traditional’ Cockney accent came in forth place with 12 per cent. This will be as opposed to the new wave Cockney accent, I suppose.
The Scouse accent was voted the least appealing.
Well, ar ay laa, youse is just southern ponces an’ the ref was on United’s side.
