At last, a viable replacement for the Reliant Robin!
No , really, the Zap Alias (above) from California is faster than a Porsche Boxster and hits 60mph in 5.7 seconds. All for £15,000.

And it’s all with the help of British firm Lotus.
The Lord be praised. Bring on the rapture. The world is saved by the transatlantic special relationship. Al Gore, your boys have taken one hell of a beating.
Well, almost.
The Zap-pow-wham as three wheels and this is not a popular configuration unless you own a very pointed bottom.
It also has a range of just 100mph so it looks more like a toy for the weekend than the world- altering concept its makers claim the Alias to be.
On the plus side, it won’t tow a caravan.
