Pretty as a picture - reducing emissions by numbers

Funny how life in my parallel universe works. No sooner do I have a rant about some annoying roadside boondoggle than it crops up in the real world.

Those pointless matrix and gantry displays that may as well carry the results of the Brits are now to become pretty picture boards.
Drivers on the M42 will start seeing dangers ahead displayed as graphic scenes of snow, ice, accident and fog, which may well be represented by a streaming kettle.
I look forward to my waterfront delays sign, mentioned earlier this week, showing a picture of the front of some water that has been delayed.
The we car look forward to pictures of a large Kit-Kat for take a break, tiredness kills.
Apparently evidence has it that warnings of bad conditions ahead slow traffic and reduce emissions.
Ah, so that’s why the fog, snow, ice, accident or nuclear war always seems to have cleared away before you get to it. It's the global warming loonies.
