Bang to rights for his regimental pride

You know, the trouble with law enforcement in this country is that some officers just don't now when to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

The belated enforcement of numberplate regulations is as welcome a lottery win but then someone has to throw it all away.
Look, enough of us are bored with and sick to death of number plates that not only make no sense at, all except to the plant pot who is driving the car, but are simply illegal and could lead to a car not being properly identified in say, a hit and run.
So what happens? Plod does a Royal Marine veteran for having is service badge on his number plate.
Apparently you can pay homage to the EU or your home country but not a football team or regiment.
As the picture above shows, there is no way the plate’s legibility was affected.
So that’s a £30 fixed penalty for 74-years-old David Horlick and nothing for the root vegetable driving around with his bull terrier’s name in Cyrillic script.
